Most people like to eat fish. When we cannot find it fresh we buy it in cans from the supermarket. In this essay I will write about how fish are canned.
After the fish are caught they are delivered to a cannery, a factory where food is canned. Firstly, the fish are cleaned by scraping away the scales. Next, salt is added to prevent the growth of micro-organisms. After that, the fish are washed; water and chemical are used in this process. Then, they are canned by using big machines. Next, liquid is added to the canned fish which is a mixture of oil and preservatives. After that, cans are sterilized; a special sterilizer is used in this step. Finally, they are stored in dry and cool places and they are ready to be sold.
In conclusion fish are passed through many steps to be canned. This process takes long time to be done , because it is very important.
