Canning Fish

Most people like to eat fish. When we cannot find it fresh we buy it in cans from the supermarket. In this essay I will write about how fish are canned.


After the fish are caught they are delivered to a cannery, a factory where food is canned. Firstly, the fish are cleaned by scraping away the scales. Next, salt is added to prevent the growth of micro-organisms. After that, the fish are washed; water and chemical are used in this process. Then, they are canned by using big machines. Next, liquid is added to the canned fish which is a mixture of oil and preservatives. After that, cans are sterilized; a special sterilizer is used in this step. Finally, they are stored in dry and cool places and they are ready to be sold.

In conclusion fish are passed through many steps to be canned. This process takes long time to be done , because it is very important.

Story"Liwa"

It was in the middle of summer and I was driving to Liwa when suddenly one of my wheels was shaking. I stopped immediately at the right of the road and I checked the problem. The problem was the tyre had come off the car so t had to change it.



I picked up the mobile phone and I called my friend Mohammed. I told him that I needed some help. Mohammed was very near to my place. After 5 minutes I saw his car. He stopped near to me and we stated changing the tyre .Un fortunately there was a hole in the spare tyre this was a big problem. Mohammed said "Now we have to buy a new tyre we got into Mohammed's car and we went to the nearest petrol station.



The distance between our place and the nearest Petrol station was 52 km. As we approached the petrol station we saw an old man on the right of the road .We stopped to see what he wanted.



The old man said "I need help please." We asked him what he wanted. He said with a loud voice "Take me out now!!" We took him with us. The old man was afraid and his clothes were full of blood. We asked him what the problem is. And he answered us "They want to kill me". We said together "who?"And he stated crying.



We let him to calm down and we asked him again .He started laughing and he said "Nothing has happened. My clothes are full of blood because I killed my sheep and I did act with that only to take me to the petrol station. We said to him "why didn't you ask us kidney ". He said to us "there were 10 people who refused to take me".
After that we told him what happen to my car. And he said "I have a new tyre for this type". He took us to his home and he gave us the new tyre .we went to my car and we changed the tier so I completed my trip to Liwa.

Story

It was a dark and gloomy night. I was just about to go bed when suddenly there was a blood-curdling scream. I froze in my place and I said "What was that". Then I went to check out side. I was searching everywhere for something strange. Finally, I found a small handbag on the floor. I checked the hand bag and it was a ladies hand bag. I took it and I searched for the owner of this bag but nothing was there. I couldn't open the bag because maybe there was something private inside it.

After ten minutes I heard the voice of women she was saying "Help me please". I searched for that voice everywhere but I couldn't find anything. After that, I heard a sound of a dog. I thought maybe the lady was afraid of the dog. I saw the dog was walking on the street it was big black dog. I tried to follow the doges it might go to the lady's voice. The dog takes me to the end of the street and it turned back.

I said " It doesn't make since if I followed animals ".So, I went back to my place > I heard the lady's voice again and again she was saying " Help me " I searched everywhere to discover from where this voice was coming . Because, it was dark night I couldn't see well. When I was searching I saw something was moving under the table but it was dark so I couldn't see clearly> I went back my room and I got small light with me so I could see what was under that table.

I went there and I turned the light on and a strange voice came immediately and the light stopped working. I checked the problem and the strange sound was coming because of battery so I should change that old battery. I went to the nearest shop it was open and I bought new battery. I went back to that table and I turned on the light and I saw an old lady who was afraid. I talked to her about why was she here and why did she scream. I laughed loudly after she told my why was there .She did "there was small bug on the road and I was afraid of it so I came here".

I took the old lady to her house and I gave her the bag which I found on the floor. After that I went back my room to sleep.

Oilfield to Petrol Station

Oil is the main recourse in the UAE which supports our economy. Transporting oil from oil well to petrol station is a hard process and it needs time and a lot of work. In this essay I will describe the stages from the discovery of oil to the sale of petrol in the filling station.


First, the oil is located underground in desert and under the ocean or sea. Next, the oil is pumped through large pipelines to refineries. After that it is stored in huge storage tanks. Then it is refined into many different products like residuum, heavy gas oil, Kerosene, and petrol. After that the petrol is stored in different types of tanks. Next, it is transported to different petrol stations where it is stored in underground tanks. Finally it is pumped into customers cars tanks.


In summary these steps are not easy and they cost lots of money but, this is how my car gets its petrol.

My worst day

One day I wake up at 11:30 AM I was late. In that day I shall do exam it was midterm exam. My exam was on 12 so I didn't have time to prepare. I searched for my clothes but I didn't found clean kandora and ghotra so I went for my yesterday clothes. I went out and I turned on my car. The time ran out so I shall go quickly. As soon as I derived my car the tier was shaking. I stopped to see what the problem is. I found that the tier should be changed. There is no time for this process, my exam will start after 10 minute that what I said. So I tried to stop taxi. After 5 minute one taxi stopped and I asked him if he can drive me to college and how much it will cost me. He said to me he can drive me there but the price will be 150 DHs. Even the price was very expensive but I accepted his deal. I arrived at 12 past 5. So I could enter the exam. The exam was very difficult. After I finished the exam I asked my friend to take me to my car. And we went there. I found a ticket on the window I said what is this bad day. Finally my friend helped me to change the tier and I went back my home.

How to prepare for a desert / fishing trip

Our life is full of work, when our work finishes at the end of the week we need to have a rest. The best thing to have a rest is going out doors like going to the desert. In this essay I will explain how we can prepare for a desert trip.



Firstly, we should check the weather if it good for having a trip or not .Secondly, the car must be 4WD, and we should put fuel in it, for safety you can take extra fuel in large bottle. Then, we must get all useful tools like hummer, matches and push to talk radio. Also, we should take coal or wood for the fire. Water and drinks are important so we must take extra bottles of them. If we want cook our food there we should take it with us. Finally, we can take GPS with us, if we don't know the region will, so we won't get lost.



In summary these are all the steps to get ready for this trip, so we must be accurate when you prepare. You should not miss any simple thing.

How to organize a wedding party

These days lots of people from around the world make wedding parties when they get married. In the UAE a wedding party is different than other countries. The groom must pay for everything. In this essay I will talk about how the groom organizes his wedding party.



Firstly, the groom should book a ballroom or a big tent for the party. The groom and the bride must decide for how many people they will invite, and then they make invitation cards, and send them to those people. Then, the groom must buy some gold for his bride and her family. Some people rent the gown and some of them buy it, but this paid by the groom. The bride must go to a salon with her family and the groom should pay. Finally, it is important to make a unique reception in female party.



In summary these are the steps to organize a good wedding party. The groom will spend a lot of money and time in this party. Some people save their time by using wedding planners but they should pay extra money.

Shopping in malls & souqs

Lots of people nowadays spend their time in shopping. They enjoy doing it and some of them take it as a hobby. Some of them prefer shopping malls and the other prefer souqs. In this essay I will compare and contrast shopping in malls and souqs.


Firstly, there are a lot of similarities between shopping in malls and souqs. One of them is you can buy the same things from both. Both have many shops and they sell random things. You can enjoy your time shopping in both.


On the other hand there is more differences between them than similarities. The souqs are in open area, but the malls are enclosed. The prices in malls are more expensive than in souqs. If you buy anything from malls you will be sure it is original but if you buy it from souqs it might be fake.


Finally, I find shopping in malls is better than souqs because you will be sure and comfortable with what buy. You will also find whatever you want in malls like most brands and technology, but you can't find them in souqs. Also, in malls you can park your car easily, but it is harder to find parking in souqs.

Portfolios : Paper or Online?

Nowadays lot of people uses many things to organize their works. Colleges & universities student use some material and techniques to save their job and their time. Some of these materials are online Portfolios and big paper file. In this essay I will compare and contrast online and paper-based portfolios and give my preference.

Portfolios are collections of students' work over time. And this can be in a big paper file or online portfolios. Paper file which you carry it and you but the real paper in it .But, the Online paper is free Space in the Internet, Where you can type and upload your text.

Firstly, the based portfolio is huge, so you will not be able to carry it anywhere. Also, you can easy lose it, because you have only one copy. If you use it you will find difficulties to show or share your Colleagues. On the other hand, it is easy to see a glance .Also, you're and your teacher editing will be clearly visible.

Secondly, the online portfolio is very portable. Also, it is easy to edit, you can adjust whatever you want easily. And. You can use new media like sound, video and presentations. But, you need internet connection to open your online files, and sometimes you can't find it anywhere.
At the conclusion both are very good. But, I think online portfolios are better. I can use it easily. And it is portable. And it can be commented on by other student.

The similarities and differences between studying here and abroad

Lot of people nowadays in the UAE prefer to study abroad. Some of them like to study at university in the UAE. There are some advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad. In this essay I'm going to talk about what are the similarities and differences between studying here and abroad.


The similarities of studying abroad and here are that in both you will study hard. So, the study in the UAE and abroad is not very easy and you should work hard. Also, if you study here or abroad you will get the same education degree after you graduate. The study in both of them is very good .Nowadays we have good universities in the UAE.


On the other hand the main difference in that studying in the UAE is cheap and sometimes the government pays for you. But, studying in foreign countries is more expensive and it costs a lot of money. Also, if you study abroad your English will be better, and you will depend on yourself because you aren't with your family.


My opinion is studying abroad is better than studying in the UAE. Your English there will be better because you are dealing with a lot of people who are not from your country and they use English only. Also, if you go abroad you will be far from your family and this thing is good for you, you will learn how to depend on your self. If I had enough money to study in a foreign country I would choose that.
